What NeBu is

NeBu helps you understand what's on a product label in seconds. Scan the barcode; see nutrition values, the additives it contains, and a 0–100 health score. Phase 1 covers food; cosmetics, cleaning, baby and supplement categories are next.

Who builds it

NeBu is built by MC Co. — an independent team shipping careful web and mobile products, focused on Turkey but aiming to serve users worldwide, with privacy as a first-class concern. NeBu is the first product in our portfolio.

Why this app

In Turkey, consumers have limited practical, understandable access to information about food product contents. Existing solutions are either English-only or ad-heavy. NeBu keeps Turkish first-class — TR + EN in parallel, more languages to come.

We ask for no account. No file or image is uploaded to our servers; scanning happens entirely in your browser. Only the scanned barcode is queried to fetch product info — no personal data.

Our methodology — transparent and rigorous

Every score is computed with a weighted model built on internationally recognized nutrition assessment, additive risk classification, and official certification signals. We explain step by step on the methodology page how each component affects the score: no black box, but the engineering is ours. Our scientific sources rest on authorities like EFSA, WHO and the EU Commission.

Roadmap in brief

Now: food + Turkish + English + barcode scan + 0–100 score. Next: expanding product coverage + healthier-alternative recommendations from the same category. Then: native iOS + Android app. In later phases: cosmetics, cleaning, baby and supplement categories.
